Save the Vaquita! is a multi-disciplinary thematic project focused on raising awareness of the world’s most critically endangered marine mammal, the vaquita porpoise.
Jonathan Saxon collaborated with artist Yoojin Oh to create a mini-zine about the vaquita porpoise. The zine is available for free to audience members in attendance at Save the Vaquita! performances.
The vaquita porpoise is also known as the desert porpoise because its habitat is in the warm waters of the Gulf of California along the coast of the Sonoran Desert. Jonathan Saxon collaborated with artist Makoto Hashigami to create this design. Stickers with this image are provided for free to those in attendance at Save the Vaquita! performances.
